Concordia Involvement/Activities: Concordia Student Success and Retention Services, Intercultural Affairs, International Student Organization, Concordia Track and Field, Concordia Men's Soccer, Valhalla Ultimate Frisbee Team, Circulo Hispano (Spanish Club)

Favorite thing about Concordia: The people and the campus.

One obstacle I had to overcome at Concordia: Finding time to balance school, work, and sports all together.

Best advice to a new student at Concordia: Don't be afraid to meet new people! Sign up for many activities, then choose the one's you would like to stick with (Cobber Expo!!).

Favorite attraction or hang-out in Fargo/Moorhead: Thunder Road (GO-KARTS!!)

Little known fact about yourself: My first language is Spanish.

Favorite pick up line: "If you were a booger I'd pick you first."

A Mentor's Perspective:  Charlie's Advice For Students

"Make new friends and join many activities! I remember when I was a freshman I wanted to be in everything, so at the Cobber Expo I signed up for many different activities. Being a part of many activities does not mean you are obligated to commit yourself entirely, it provides an opportunity to try out what you like or are interested in. Also, be a part of student organizations. This will help you learn about many events held at Concordia while enjoying the socialization with many people. Don't lock yourself in the dorm. Come out once in awhile to see people and attend events. Go to a soccer game, volleyball game, basketball game, or Tri-college events held in Memorial Auditorium. Enjoy the real college life! If you have any questions about where to go or what to do when you're bored, send us an email at success@cord.edu. Make the best of your college life!"
