Student Affairs
Office of Intercultural Affairs
The Office of Intercultural Affairs is “home” for international students who come from many countries and different backgrounds to study at Concordia College. The office is a bridge for students who are living in an unfamiliar culture and are transitioning into new learning programs by providing resources for academic, cultural and emotional support. It's also a program for all students, creating a cultural environment on campus by integrating diversity into the educational, spiritual, academic, cultural and social life of the college.
From one-on-one support through International Student Services to community-wide events like Hip-Hop Congress, Intercultural Affairs at Concordia is committed to creating a more inclusive environment for all people.
International Student Support
International students living in a new culture and studying at Concordia quickly come to know that there is a large and friendly support system in place to help them. There are many special services available.
At the start of each semester a special orientation is held to help international students make a successful transition to college life at Concordia.
The International Student Organization provides a “home” where students can freely gather, share experiences, have questions answered and organize activities. There is also a special English language class available for students whose native language is not English.
An international student adviser provides assistance to students by maintaining their SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) record and assisting with the various issues and rules affecting F-1 status for study in the United States.
