The Concordia volleyball team is one of the premiere programs in the conference and region. The Cobbers have earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament in eight of the past nine seasons and were ranked in the top 25 of the nation for, a conference record, 63 consecutive weeks. Head Coach Tim Mosser has led Concordia to 11 consecutive MIAC postseason tournaments and has helped the team record at least 20 wins in eight of the past 10 seasons.

Individually, the Cobbers have had 13 players in the past eight seasons earn All-American honors. They have also had a trio of players named the MIAC Most Valuable Player in the past seven years. Mosser was named the AVCA Region Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2011 and has walked away with MIAC Coach of the Year honors on three separate occasions.

Katie leads the Katie VohnoutkaCobbers in kills this season and has a history of excelling under the brightest lights. As a senior at Eden Prairie HS, she won the state badminton championship. This season she has helped the Cobbers return to the national spotlight by being ranked in the top 25 of the nation for most of the season. CC also earned their 10th consecutive MIAC playoff berth in 2010.

Katie fell in love with the Fargo-Moorhead area the first time she visited.

"I really liked the Concordia campus and the way it looked in the city with all the trees and scenery. It felt a lot like home and the people were very friendly and welcoming. I was also surprised at how many things there are to do in the Moorhead and Fargo area. It has a bigger city feel with the comfort of being in a smaller area."

The Cobbers play all their home matches in the friendly confines of Memorial Auditorium which seats 3,500. In 2009 the Cobbers were among the national leaders in attendance and averaged more fans than any other team in the MIAC.
